Cast shadow gives a hatching effect

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well!

I’m having a small problem in UE 5.5 with the cast shadow on my 3D models.

The cast shadow rendering, as you can see, is really not very attractive.

It gives a hatching effect on the model. At first, I thought it was my models that had something wrong with my modeling and polygons, or that it was a normalization issue, but I checked my models and there are no problems. Even the simplest models I’ve modeled, like this one, give these hatching and line effects.

Do you have any ideas on a setting that needs to be corrected?

Looks like shadow bias, reducing the range of the light or increasing the number of cascades can help reduce the artifacts, or playing with the shadow bias settings, also can vary depending on the type of light and shadows being used.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try playing around with the different settings depending on my different lighting types, but with UE 5.2 and 5.3 I never encountered this problem.
