'Cast Inset Shadow' Not working for skeletal meshes with "Ray Traced Distance Field Soft Shadows".

In this page in the documentations it says it supposed to make skeletal meshes cast shadows as well:


But it gives nothing when I try it.

I’m using point light with “Ray Traced Distance Field Soft Shadows” ON and it casting shadows on static meshes.
But I want it to work on skeletal meshes because the documents says it can.

Any idea what am I doing wrong?

Ok I notice now it works for directional light only. It isn’t mentioned anywhere though.

This has been requested already and logged with UE-5653, but currently it is backlogged.

I’ve bumped community interest up in seeing this feature added to the engine. Keep in mind that this does not prioritize or guarantee this will be added in a future release.
