I’m struggling to find information on this so I would hoping someone could enlighten me.
Is Cascading Shadows or Distance Field Shadows better for performance?
The Unreal Engine VR Guidelines mentions that cascading shadows are better:
But the docs for ‘Using Distance Field Shadows’ says that it performs better than cascading shadows.
I’m wonder if I’m getting the terminologies mixes up, but I’m a bit lost.
I would be very grateful if someone could could point me the way.
