Carryable Item Spawners Sometimes Stop Being Able To Be Picked Up

Summary

I have found that for seemingly no reason sometimes Carryable Items will stop being able to be picked up. When you walk up to them, the Pickup prompt appears but pressing it does nothing. Once a Carryable Item is in this state, there is nothing that can be done to fix it.

It may have to do with calling the Despawn and Spawn functions on the items.

Hi @NoHoldsBarred, we’re having trouble trying to repro this here.

Could we get logs from you, along with a video showing this happening?

Got the same issue

Don’t know if this helps, but I have a video of this bug occurring. It also happened in a session that had been running for some time. Players in the lobby were unable to pick up the ball, and the button shown in the video, which would normally automatically assign the ball to a player did not work either. This issue did not occur in new sessions, only in long-running ones.

I am experiencing the same issue with the Gonggi version of the Carryable Item Spawners. Through various playtests to investigate what was happening, I discovered that the issue does not occur in the first round of the game. However, after that, players cannot randomly pick up the Gonggi, and this doesn’t happen consistently in the same round.

On Xbox, the bug occurs in round 2, as shown in the two videos. When I attempted to test it on PC today (8/18/2025), I was unable to trigger the bug for 11 rounds before stopping the test. Previously, during the public release session of Squid Game Race V1, the issue occurred in round 4, causing players to get stuck. Before the release, during a private session, this bug was thought to be fixed since it did not occur after 12 rounds. As a side note, all tests, except for the public release test, were conducted in the editor and during private sessions.
