Did a bunch of testing and it seems that something is definitely not right. Currently thinking it might be certain skins that are not working while others seem to work
Can confirm its 100% that certain skins do not work.
Tested with cybertruck , nissan fairlady z and the scorpion
When the cybertruck or the scorpion was equipped the whiplash / SUV did not transform
When the nissan fairlady z was equipped the whiplash did transform into it!
I’ve done some testing of all the car cosmetics in my locker and it seems only some are affected by the issue. Here is a complete list of all the affected vehicles:
The issue is still not fixed, however there’s a workaround. Since 34.20 the changing booth finally allows one to set vehicle cosmetics, the player needs to re-set their vehicle cosmetics within the map using the changing booth in order for them to apply correctly. It seems that the main issue is only for loading the cosmetics presets set in the regular pre-game locker.
Agreed with you. Also you can change any other items skins (for example sneakers) to enable vehicle skin in creative islands. Why this bug is so long exists and not fixed yet?
I think anything that it a regression should be priority 1 and it be fixed and updated asap not waiting months for a fix.
Due to the eco system and how epic is evolving the creative space any and all devices/systems ect can get a bug and its this uncertainty that’s crazy in a system tbh its like playing Russian roulette with creating maps.
I put forward a idea that was this.
Epic works with actual dedicated creators who use the tool everyday (Not creators because they have a few million followers and a map that’s popular on discovery Mainly because its on discovery so it stays - Viscous cycle)
If epic did this with say 5k creators and any updates get pushes to their systems first a month before say those creators would know and see any issues and could work direct with epic to fix the issue.
Secondly
Instead of this 40% revenue cut back to creators ect change it to 35% and hire more staff to fix stuff as its getting worse imo. I havnt seen the epic bug report system internally but one could assume its a mess hence bugs getting missed completely and waiting a yr+ to get sorted,
This to me is one of the biggest issues tbh bigger than the messed up discovery. When a bug is reported and its genuine it should be fixed and resolved in 30 days or less or its a non conformance - This could be the new structure to ensure that deadlines are being met if they aint then someone needs to go - All im saying
