Haven’t been able to update listing for 20+ days, support reports no ETA. Anyone else seeing this issue?
The product has been on FAB for 1y+ and is updated on a weekly basis, but it’s been stuck for a while now and I’m not able to update it anymore, nor push the updated version for 5.7.
Just send another support ticket if it’s been more than 48 hours since the first, remember fab doesn’t use email like the marketplace did. You have to use their official support form.
If you send a second or even third support ticket, just tell them you didn’t hear back and it’s urgent.
Oh I did send a bunch of tickets already, they keep saying there’s nothing they can do about it and that “they’re sorry for the inconvenience“; honestly I don’t blame them but the shrug messaging sure is infuriating.
Then I would join the epic for indies discord server(link is somewhere here I think) and talk with the person who helps with fab stuff directly, they are not outsourced and can talk with engineering staff if needed.
Sadly no answer there either… Support isn’t bothering to answer anyway, no public acknowledgement of the problems whatsoever this is getting ridiculous, what are we supposed to do I’m freaking out
honestly, I would just delete the listing and make a new one. this sounds like a bug and I dont know why support isnt answering you. if you cant delete the listing, then just make another and if fab rejects it tell them then.
I asked the support if I should do so early on because I wanted to expedite the issue, they said I shouldn’t do that because they can’t transfer the licenses & data from the old to new product.
There’s other considerations as well I care about (date of original release, ratings etc), and I’m more afraid that it won’t work again after a while – it’s just not a viable solution.
Yeah I’m not sure, if you can cancel the submission and make a small change to something then resubmit then do that. If all else fails go to Tim Sweeney Twitter account and let him know you are out of options and need someone to help you.
The epic sheep guy in the epic games store portion of that discord server almost always responds if you tag him, he isn’t fab but he likely can still help.
Do you know the handle the Epic person I should tag? I already tried eveything when it comes to trying to unstuck the listing through modification, removal, additions, editing tags, descriptions every field, I even tried changing the licensing nothing works
