Same issue here, the update button just silently does nothing.
The prior attempt (from @BoomFishBlocky) that would solve the error when openning epic launcher for the first time, where it asked to associate with the unreal does’t work.
neither is deleting the cache or vault data. It will simply not work once you download anything.
I did uninstall epic, and unreal entirely, delete the vault folder, folders from %appdata%, romaming and so on…
Once I installed it again, it has the exact same issue…
The only thing I didn’t do was cleaning the windows registry, at this point will be easier to just do a clean windows install…
But really, do people need to make a clean windows install to be able to solve this kind of crap?
Unreal engine is an amaizing product, but the epic launcher is a pain to work with. Doesn’t do the very basic that you need it to do
