hi @Laydoutinblue7 ,
Sounds like your UEFN is corrupted.
Verify your UEFN/Fornite
Some options may be related to you not being able to see anything in the editor:
-
Check if the world has a TODM enabled:
Without a TODM (Time of Day Manager), the world has no lightning by default, and with no lightning, you can’t see anything. To fix this, you can enable/select a TODM in the World Settings, or create a lightning rig by yourself (Atmosphere + Directional Light and so on).
-
You may be on a empty world:
If you create a new level file based on the “Empty” template, the world will not have anything pre-placed for you. This include actors/props, configurations and even TODM (as mentioned on the item above). It may be on the incorrect world or have no actors to be seen on it.
You can check your project files if there is other Level assets, to verify if your level is the correct one. You can create new levels with pre-placed things in the “New” menu, or start from scratch from the current one.
-
Your editor installation files may be corrupted:
If the black screen you are refering to is not the viewport but somewhere else, it may be some other fault on the engine initialization, for this you would need to verify the instalation files in the Epic Games Launcher to try fixing it
