Can't render UE4 scene scene in UE5 with LUMEN project settings - just black

Hello,
I have opened an old scene with built lighting.
I enabled LUMEN and raytracing, I deleted the BuiltData-Maps. But still I get the warning "Lighting needs to be rebuilt.
It just renders black.
Only with “deferred rendering” I get a picture, but this is as faras I know not full quality!

Why is the scene rendering black? It’s an space ship interior

Thanks

I disabled allow static lighting,
still not rendering, only black.

It renders whe “deferred rendering” is ON, but I want it off…

thanks

but game overrides still missing, isn’t?
are you using postprocess? Autoexposure?..

this made no difference. (Also have never used Game Overrides before)
The camera is on manual exposure as always.
At rendering it even doesn’t make a warm up count. It’s just skipping the warm up frames and rendering black

It’s never working without “deferred rendering”.
Changed PPV also, but made no difference.

I think I have to go through some basic tutorials once again :-/
In case someone knows, please let me know.
Thanks for your inputs so far…

Lumens inside a Spaceship? I don’t think so… Use raytracing
I guess your spaceship is not full of holes…

Path tracing ist enabled (all the time)
It’s right now working when I add the “path tracing” item to the render settings (whatever this means).

You mean, that Lumen is not working in interior?

Ok take a look if is working inside, Is not going to be better just checking options…

Lumens are global illumination, spaceship has walls…

Not sure if is the best option or if you are going to obtain better results!!

Here there is no lumens:

Take a look!

Lumen works with Deferred Rendering and so it isn’t developed to work well with Forward Rendering (Forward Shading). The same issue you might get when you work on VR projects that use Forward Rendering so it’s a limitation of Lumen for now!

Thanks, path tracing is now rendering but very slowly
Taking minutes per frame (but I did not check any settings). So I will have to wait until it’s finished.

LUMEN: I checked the “lumen” scene view - the picture on the top. It was not just black.
Something must tell the engine, that there is nothing to render, otherwise it wouldn’t skip warm up and render in a few seconds just black and it’s also NOT saving any frame!

  • it means it actually doesn’t render at all.

Maybe this is a hint?

Worked with “Path tracer”

So your plan is to check whatever sounds cool and let’s see

…ok…

Remember there is a good documentation about each of them:
