hi @GraemeBB ,
When trying this as described above got a GPU Crash Timeout.
Already have the TDR patch installed at 800, so it not that
Fatal error: [File:Z:\UEVFS\Root\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 213]
Device->CreateBuffer(&Desc, NULL, UniformBufferResource.GetInitReference()) failed with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR
at Z:\UEVFS\Root\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11UniformBuffer.cpp:150
Crash in runnable thread RHIThread.
Don’t expect you have Fortnite symbols loaded, but my system does, to make sense above
Started from the EPGL Launcher for UEFN, just to be the same as most people .
The only difference is that mine runs with Administrator to get access to the symbols on crash.
UnrealEditorFortnite.log (1.4 MB)
UnrealRevisionControl.log (2.9 MB)

so uploaded the logs for the above crash along with the URC log.
This did take about 20 minutes and Task Manager shows a significant 20% CPU and Disk/Memory.
This is so simple to recreate
- Open Epic Games Launcher as Administrator
- Click on Unreal Engine Fortnite to launch
- Click on Feature samples
- Click User Interface
- Tick on URC
- put in a name
- Click “Create”
Observed Result
Crashes UEFN 36.10 patched 24 June 00:00 ET
Just wait 20 minutes and crash with the crash above as has symbols loaded.
Just need some more votes
before crash
Its not my PC because the error is
DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR
For those interested, this file was recently fixed in the 5.6 binary release source, so it should be an easy fix.
