Can't add code file

Hello. Starting from today I can’t add new files with File->Add Code to Project menu. I always get

Failed to add class HUDGameMode. Could
not mark resource file for add.

P.S.: Recently I updated VS with update 2.

Up. I still have this issue. In old projects (that I create before yesterday) I have no problem - I can add code. For all new projects I have same error.

having same issue

Hi ,

I am sorry for the slow response. Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, what version of the Editor are you using, and are you using the Editor compiled from source, or the binary version used with the Launcher?

Hi ,

The problem is gone. I didn’t do anything - it’s just gone. I’ve used VS2013 express with update 2. I’ve used binary version of editor.

Hi ,

I am glad to hear that the issue has cleared up. If you run into this issue again, please let us know.

Hi ,

Are you seeing this error when you try to add a code class to your project, when you create a new project, or both?

Could you provide a screenshot of the error message?

Well the problem seems to be fixed, i have no idea what was wrong.

is it possible to deactivate sourcecontrol? i couldn’t find an option.

best regards,

There are a couple places you can change your source control settings. You can always go into the Editor Preferences and change some settings there (Edit → Editor Preferences → General → Loading & Saving → Source Control).

You can also turn source control on and off using the option in the top-right corner of the Editor, next to the Console Command window.
