Cannot Sync Project With URC

Summary

The open button on my old UEFN project, that is not saved locally, is greyed out and tells me to sync it with my source control system. My project uses Unreal Source Control and it clearly isn’t letting me sync it there in the project browser.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Unreal Revision Control

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a project.
  2. Save it with URC.
  3. Delete it locally.
  4. Try sync it from the cloud in the UEFN project browser.
(The issue only applies to one of my projects.)

Expected Result

It should say sync instead of open and clicking it would redownload the cloud save, before letting me open the project.

Observed Result

The open button is greyed out and I can instead see a message telling me this:
This project can’t be found at it’s expected location. If you have it on your computer, use the browse button to find it. If not, you may need to sync it from your revision control system.

Platform(s)

Windows 11

Additional Notes

The project was created and last opened at some point in 2024. The local files were on a different PC which has been since wiped.

A built private version of the project still exists and is playable in Fortnite.

@MrBigbrain This likely occurred because you or a collaborator may have disabled revision control before deleting it locally. We’ll need to re-enable it on the backend, but we’ll be able to help you get access to it.
