To clear the cache on an Xbox One, you can try these steps:
- Turn off the Xbox One by pressing and holding the Xbox button on the console for about 10 seconds
- Unplug the power cable from the console
- Wait at least 10 seconds
- Press the Xbox button on the console 4–5 times to drain the battery
- Plug the power cable back into the console
- Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange
- Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on
Clearing the cache removes temporary files and data from the console, allowing for a fresh set to be downloaded and stored. This can help resolve issues like freezing or crashing games.
