Can You Retarget a Skeletal Mesh?

I’ve retargeted Animations to an entirely different new skeleton, the default UE4 skeleton, aswell as a duplicated an Anim Blueprint but I can’t seem to do the same with my skeletal mesh that was originally linked to the animations and anim bp. Is there a way to retarget just a skeletal mesh, or is this something that can only be done outside of unreal?
