Can You Make Native Chaperone Bounds Visible with a Function?

Is there a way to make SteamVR’s chaperone bounds visible with a function call?

I know we can grab the bounds info from the chaperone component and build something from that. However if someone’s got their chaperone bounds display setting set to “intermediate” or “beginner”, I’d like them to still see their setting reflected. Right now I can’t find any way to do that.
