Can translucent objects receive raytraced shadows? or any shadows? (Video included)

Hi all, I’m struggling to give shadows to a translucent object. In my case, these are planetary rings.

In the video, I am showing how shadows are working when using an opaque material vs a translucent one.

I am on 4.25, using raytracing. Ideally I would like to use raytraced shadows, but it seems like I can’t. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction of other things to try? My one requirement is that I CAN’T disable raytracing in my project to fix this.
