Can the Samsung Gear VR Controller be simulated in Unreal when debugging?

Hi. I’m using a “Line trace by channel node” that emits a line from the controller and at the moment i’m having to launch onto my phone each time to simulate the Samsung Gear VR with Controller. The docs here:

show how to set up the samsung phone so that it doesn’t need to be inserted into the Gear to debug but I can’t find info on a way to simulate the controller within Unreal when “Play” is hit?

Technically it cannot be simulated in the editor.

However one workaround is using a Rift or Vive controller or the other one is using the google daydream controller emulator. Yes you need to add the googleVR plugin to your project but it lets you use your android mobile phone to behave like a 3dof controller in the editor:
