Hi, I’m trying to find a way to import the vector field done with FumeFX inside 3dsmax. I can’t seem to find any tutorial or explanation for it.
I saw some post here with some links that are not accessible.
Any direction would be welcome.
Thanks.

Right now Epic only supports creating vector fields using Maya’s Fluid sims.
I have seen discussion in the forums regarding creating a plugin for Max/FumeFX, this is not supported yet.
In one of the Epic’s YT videos (Inside Unreal - Visual Effects - Part 3) they show making of a “volume texture” from FumeFX fluid simulation for an explosion effect: Infiltrator Breakdown: Visual Effects | 03 | Feature Highlight | Unreal Engine - YouTube
Although it’s not a tutorial, maybe you can get some clues from there…
Alternatively someone on the Forums also made a MaxScript that makes the Vector Fields out of splines: [TOOL TUTORIAL] Vector Fields from splines in 3ds Max - Community & Industry Discussion - Unreal Engine Forums
