So I put a game on steam and one review claims that it would be easy to inject a rat into somebody’s computer through the game. I’m using the advanced sessions plugin and blueprints. I’d just like to know how true and easy this would be as the last thing I want people to do is feel like they can’t play the game because they will get infected.
A motivated person sure but easy i doubt, he is mostly likely trolling otherwise, he would have pointed out exact term how to with some ego.
Steam, epic online services already have some layer of security for your lobby.
In addition to default firewall/antivirus of windows defender.
For asset with virus, steam/epic will verify your build anyway and would have spotted it (if it was that easy).

Depends on your game. If the game uses dedicated servers, then no.
If you allow clients to host games (peer to peer). Then yes, maybe… depends on what your game exposes the connected clients to.
