Summary
Bug Report – Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 – RTX 3060 Laptop FPS Collapse
Specs:
• CPU: Intel i7-12700H
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 Laptop
• RAM: 16GB DDR5 4800 MT/s
• OS: Windows 11, fully updated
Issue:
• FPS starts normal (100–200+) but collapses within ~1 minute of gameplay to 20–30 FPS and stays there.
• RTX 3060 usage never exceeds ~40%.
• Intel iGPU usage minimal (~10%).
• Changing settings, resolution, or enabling DLSS/FSR/XeSS does not improve FPS.
• Restarting Fortnite temporarily restores performance, but issue returns in ~1 minute.
Additional Info:
• Shader cache cleared, drivers updated (Intel + NVIDIA).
• Happens in DX11, DX12, and Performance modes.
• Started with Chapter 6 Season 4 update.
Impact: Game is unplayable after the first minute of each session. All visual/upscaling features are ineffective once FPS drops, even at minimum settings (maximum tested as well, yet no affect was had on performance).
Request: Epic, please investigate engine-level memory/asset streaming or shader pipeline bottlenecks causing RTX 3060 laptops to underperform.
