C++ Hex 2D Isometric Grid

Hello new friends,

I’ve just installed UE4 and I’m not very familiar with UE4 and/or Blueprint yet. The more C++ in my project, the better. I would like to make a game similar enough to Final Fantasy Tactics. To that end, I first need to make a 2D isometric grid and I don’t know what’s the simplest way to achieve this.

Also, I don’t want the tiles to be squares, I would prefer them to be regular hexagons, so that my 2D isometric grid is a hex grid. Could you help me please? I’m not sure where to start. Regarding the project template, should I pick Blank?
