Bunny-Hop Exploit with Rocket Racing Vehicle

Summary

Players can use a technique known as “B-Hopping” (Bunny Hopping) to preserve and repeatedly gain momentum by landing on a single wheel, immediately jumping again, and performing side flips in rapid succession. This allows the vehicle to maintain speeds significantly higher than intended by normal driving physics, bypass standard speed resets on landing, and chain momentum gains across long distances, resulting in faster track completion times than expected. This creates a significantly unfair skill gap in all gamemodes that use the vehicle due to the massive speed increase B-hopping provides.

Steps to Reproduce

Setup
• Bind Air Roll to an easy-to-reach button.
• Avoid pressing Brake during landings.
• Be able to quickly use Air Roll, Jump, and Side Flip together.

How To Bhop

  1. Start a drift (about 30°-75° angle).

  2. Jump and hold Air Roll.

  3. Tilt the car so only ONE wheel touches first.

    • Drifting right = Front Left wheel.
    • Drifting left = Front Right wheel.
  4. The instant that wheel touches, jump again.

  5. Immediately perform a side flip.

Common Mistakes
• Too flat = multiple wheels touch, speed loss.
• Too steep = bounce, no flip reset.
• Jumping too late = speed loss.
• Boosting while facing backward = slows you down.

Chaining Bhops
Repeat:
Drift → Jump → One-Wheel Landing → Jump → Side Flip → Repeat

The faster and cleaner your chain, the longer you maintain top speed and skip ground hazards. Practice one-wheel landings first, then focus on timing the instant re-jump

Expected Result

The car should land normally on the track, with its speed resetting according to the game’s standard driving physics. Any jumps and side flips should provide their intended movement and speed boosts without allowing players to preserve excess momentum or chain boosts beyond normal limits.

Observed Result

The car maintains more speed than normal driving by landing on a single wheel, instantly jumping, and side flipping. When performed correctly, chained bhops allow the car to travel faster for longer periods, carry momentum through sections of the track, and reduce the impact of ground hazards. Consistent bhops can significantly improve race times.
