Building dedicated servers from UE Source code ONLY

Does anyone knows why Epic decided to make working dedicated server builts available ONLY from a source code built version of the Engine? I’d love to know the reason because going for a SC build version just leads more problems and errors to solve.

I am just guessing here, but it’s likely because you want to have different functionality for a dedicated server. You want to only run the server intensive functions on the server, meanwhile you want to run the graphics part on the client.
