Not sure if a bug or a “feature”, but in the latest build the default zoom level is off for me on a lot of meshes.
I tend to often quickly open up meshes just to get a better look at them, to figure out if I want to place it my level or not. Having to zoom out manually each time is annoying
Note this also happens with tiny meshes, the other way around. They require me to zoom in manually.
Can it not simply take the position and angle of the thumb upon opening?
Hi Sjoerd,
If you want to change the tumbnails to be more accurate, you can click the “view options” at the bottom of the Content Browser to edit them. Once “Edit Tumbnails” is checked, you can zoom and rotate the thumbnail icons. I have also created a feature request for the ability to capture an image of what the mesh looks like in editor and make that the thumbnail. Particle Systems already have something similar. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi,
As you can see in my screenshot the thumbnails are correct.
The problem is that the default position and angle of the camera does not match the thumbnails upon opening that SM (actually the zoom mostly), as shown on the left side of my image.
The zoom level does not scale correctly.
I see, I will create a second feature request for the camera position being remembered in the mesh editors. If there is anything else you would like added, please let us know.
Thank you,
Alexander
