[Bug report] UE4 Editor Rendering artifacts after waking from suspend on Ubuntu

Issue: Unreal 4 Editor renders artifacts all around after waking computer from suspend

Question: How do I prevent the artifacts from happening when I put my computer to suspend without closing the editor? (My home directory is not encrypted, and I have a swap space also)

  • OS: Ubuntu 16.04
  • GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
  • Driver: 384.90 from nvidia-384 (proprietary, tested)

Reproduction:

  • Start UE4 Editor
  • Open a project
  • Put computer to suspend
  • Wake it up
  • Enjoy the artifacts
