Broken Vertex-Wind Logic/Modern Foliage Assets (SpeedTree/Nanite) remain almost static in highintensity weather phases in each mission compared to legacy asserts

Summary

While legacy v1.8 assets featured dynamic, responsive wind physics, the current modern foliage assets used in Save the World missions fail to scale with the storm intensity.

Despite the worldstate indicating high wind speeds (Storm Category 4), the tree meshes remain largely static or maintain a default lowintensity ambient sway.

This is a regression in environmental fidelity caused by broken shader parameters in the transition to UE5

Assets

Steps to Reproduce

Load into any Save the World mission (Stonewood/Plankerton/Canny Valley)

Observe the foliage (modern Pines and Oak remodels during a storm phase.

Compare the visual wind intensity of the trees to the HUD/Skybox weather indicators

Note that the vertex deformation (Max Rotation/Speed/Radius) does not scale, leaving assets static while the rest of the environment suggests a heavy storm like the remaining legacy assets

Expected Result

Foliage assets should dynamically respond to the mission’s storm phase. The Wind Shader logic should be restored to match the legacy 2017 standards, where trees showed significant swaying and rotation during high intensity weather events.

Observed Result

Modern foliage assets lack the dynamic scaling of wind intensity, Parameters for vertex displacement (specifically Max Rotation, which historically stood at 1.28 for highwind states are either capped or not being called by the global weatherlogic.

This creates a massive visual disconnect and a “lifeless” world environment

Additional Notes

Inspection of the current shader logic suggests that the dynamic scaling for Speedtree windparams is disconnected from the global STW weather. Restoring the legacy vertex wind values is essential for the atmospheric soul of the game.

I love the wind effects on the foliage hopefully this can be fixed. Make sure to hit the vote button on your thread so that it gets seen by Epic

thank you for replaying, if nobody speaks about that the game dies in atmosphere more and more over time, where can I activate this vote feature Ive never been in this fores i am really desperate as you can see in my post I send a bug report about save the world in the UEFN fores because we dont have any

This is where the vote button is for me
