UI/Tools
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the island in UEFN
- Launch a Play session (PIE or published)
- Wait - no specific trigger found; it can happen while standing idle, mid-match, in the pre-game lobby, or during end-of-game teardown
Expected Result
No unexpected UI elements should render when nothing is displaying a message
Observed Result
A black rectangle briefly appears at the bottom-centre of the screen, then disappears on its own after 1-2 seconds. No correlation was found with any placed device, HUD Message Device, timer, or player action after extensive testing. Notably reproduces in any PIE Play or published sessions. Consistent screen position (bottom-centre) and a consistent short duration each time.
Platform(s)
PC (also occurs in the published build; a second player on Xbox in the same match did not see it during that session)

Additional Notes
42.20 release notes list several other UI-rendering fixes this cycle (SGUI depth ordering for in-world UMG widgets, multi-instance widget Verse-binding, HUD clearing on refresh); flagging in case this is a related regression in the same area.
