Summary
The following materials from UEFN itself are having problems being validated, I can’t start a game to progress my project, with the materials “BreakOutFloat2Components” and “ScaleUVsByCenter” having this same problem, I’ve tried to solve it in countless ways but absolutely nothing makes it work.

Steps to Reproduce
I’m not entirely sure what might be causing this error, but I remember it starting after I duplicated and deleted material that possibly used it, which should have gone relatively smoothly.
Expected Result
After the problem starts you will be unable to start your Unreal Editor For Fortnite (UEFN) project session and will be prevented from progressing your development properly, I’m not sure if this is a problem in my project or in my local editor.
Observed Result
Just to note, some things I’ve already tried to resolve the issue.
- I’ve already tried reinstalling the editor.
- I removed the UnrealEditorForFortnite/Saved folder as recommended by AI Assistant.
- I tried checking the assets individually within the project itself.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find a solution.

Additional Notes
The error in question that appears for all assets using this material is: “BreakOutFloat2Components failed to load reference to validate it: failed to copy C:/Users/Pichau/AppData/Local/UnrealEditorForFortnite/Saved/NAME OF THE OBJECT WITH THE PROBLEMATIC MATERIAL” and also “ScaleUVsByCenter failed to load reference to validate it: failed to copy C:/Users/Pichau/AppData/Local/UnrealEditorForFortnite/Saved/NAME OF THE OBJECT WITH THE MATERIAL”. Just for the record, I can’t simply delete the assets present with this material, as I would lose months of progress in Verse and in scenarios created for the project.
