Blur effect not reflecting on particular mesh with render custom depth on

When i set post process material (RED_Inst whose purpose to give red type color) and set mesh’s render custom depth pass to true, whole level turns red except that mesh. It works perfectly.

I want to achieve similar kind of blur effect. I want to make whole level blur except that mesh. But Similar set up with gaussian blur material does not work.

My aim is to blur everything on level except one mesh. Sorry for my lack of knowledge. Thanks!

I totally forgot about cine camera. I used cine camera and play with its focus options and achieved it.
