Blocking - Creator Portal Indicates Failed Moderation for Private Version

Hey there!

We go through the process of uploading a private version, and everything seems to be in order during the validation phase. However, once the version is uploaded, we encounter the following message in the creator portal:

“there are items in this private version that have previously failed moderation”

We can’t pinpoint what’s causing the problem. In an attempt to troubleshoot, we’ve transferred all our assets to another project to conduct tests. Strangely, it works perfectly fine in the new project, adding to our confusion.

Can our code be part of the problem?

This roadblock is preventing us from publishing the game, and we’re desperate for a solution.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Update

It’s the code. However, we are in the dark trying to figure out what could be causing the problem, any ideas on what we could check?

It probably isnt the code. When something fails content review it wants you to fix the problem and upload a new version. The problem is the rejection reasons are often vague.

Changing your code will have been enough to generate a fresh private island code and submit that. It would also have done the same if youd moved one prop though. It just needed a change enough to make a new private code.

As for why it failed content review the first time? Sometimes different moderators see things differently and one will pass something another rejects.

We are doing that, uploaded like… 20? 30? versions this weekend  The problem doesn’t seem related to manual review, as it automatically is rejected most times.

We are lost as hell :cold_sweat: hoping Epic replys as we have spent lots of time developing and curating the map to make a cool experience.

@Einoow Hello! This is something that our Player Support team can investigate for you to give more information: Epic Games Technical Support & Customer Service | Epic Games

If its automatically rejected within a few minutes it’s down to copyright audio being detected
