Blocker - Live edit doesnt track changes anymore since today

Upon changing events on devices or simply duplicating a device, the live edit would desync and require to push changes. This is immensely time consuming, because ANY edit requires pushing changes now (aka live edit doesn’t work)

Upon duplicating the shown device in the video and deleting, the game will have 7mb of content to upload, even though I changed literally nothing.

Please, please address this asap, we can’t spend an entire morning on something that can take an hour to do, we need to be able to test.

Restarting UEFN doesn’t fix this, and it happens 100% of the time for me.

Changing island settings also causes a desync, didn’t happen last update.

We’re checking into this.

Yea I’m having the same issue, when I reach a certain height point in my map it stops updating instantly, its either I have to push updates for every little thing, or it will randomly show after 10-30 minutes

Hi Wert,

When the tooltip changes for the Push Changes button you can still live edit.
The tooltip’s purpose is to help notify something that was changed at one point was not live edited. That way if you notice a specific change is not being live edited you have an idea as to why.

Live edit will still function even after the tooltip says:
‘Some Changes may not be reflected in the Edit Session.’

Running into this issue too, if you add any devices in editor they wont show in game until you push changes, that wasn’t the case before earlier today. Also happens if you add any devices in live edit then push verse changes, the devices will show in editor, but disappear in game until you push changes. @jay_villanueva

Well, before it stayed green, and from what I ve gathered any time it goes yellow, I need to push changes so I can see the logic changes in live edit.

So if I am testing functionality, I have to constantly push changes with every tweak now, and its very frustrating because it x10 the development time.

If it was about art then yeah I wouldnt mind cause I can still edit when its yellow. But functionality (event binding, island settings, verse) I know it has to be green or something wont update correctly. Also if you notice from the video, the device itself appears as the edit, meaning if I want to test that device, I have to push changes, so there is no avoiding it atm.

An update here. We’ve identified an issue where it’s possible to have Live Edit disconnect from the Editor in situations where there has been a large number of changes in Creative. This is a top priority for us and it is actively being looked into.
