I am trying to replicate Sjoerd de Jong’s moon material (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz-XBPjd2OY&t=4226s) such that it blends perfectly to the sky at daytime. I basically made a carbon copy of the material he presented and sort of achieved good results, however the moon still has an outline (shown in the image) unlike the one in the video where it perfectly blends with the sky. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Thanks!
Can you share the material files on this? Happy to work on this with you.
Possibly because you aren’t using his exact image?
another possibility. On 5, the output goes to a lerp.
A on that lerp may need to be the output of 7 before it goes in the alpha (one node prior).
its really hard to tell because the way you sliced it.
if you could re-capture 5, 6 and 7 in one screenshot it may help figure out what goes into what.
