Blender Rigify Animations to UE5 - Weird flickering on animations

Just trying to find out how to rig a character and get it working in UE5 but on all animations in ue5 either the hands or feet have some weird flickering where they either go up or left and right.

Blender
Ue5

Exports settings blender:
Smoothing: Faces
Only Deform Bones
animations on

Import UE5:
just default settings to be honest, tried a bunch of other settings but nothing really worked.

What i have tried so far:
Set scene unit to 0.01 and set length to centimeters
Set animations up to 30fps
Re-rig the whole character at least 300 times
used blender to unreal plugin
Checked if the root bone sit at 0

Hello friend. I’m facing the same problem but with the head animation. Did you manage to solve yours?

turn off simplify

In Unreal:

  1. Open the Animation Sequence that is showing the flickering issue.

  2. Search for Bone Compression Settings in the Details panel.

  3. Change AclAnimBoneCompressionSettings to DefaultAnimBoneCompressionSettings.

  4. Save the animation and review it again.

This solved the issue for me. The animation was perfectly smooth in Blender, but after importing it into Unreal, the character’s head had a slight flickering/jittering effect. Switching to DefaultAnimBoneCompressionSettings fixed it completely.
