Can anyone describe the causes of this and how I might going about fixing it? For reference it is a mesh computed from CAD data.
that looks like ambient occlusion. and this car model doesn’t seem to have a wheel housing nor a floor. nor is it casting shadows.
Thanks for the reply, I’ve tried disabling ambient occlusion and the result is the same.
I am aware of the issue with missing wheel housing or floor but I am working on this with the cad data.
if you put a lamp in the scene does the model cast a shadow underneath. i mean… that’s what it should do and that would fix this.
Yea I dont see any shadows, this all stems from these weird flicking white lights
what does the white material look like. is it emissive? in that case change it to default lit. ue is not cad. shaders do matter.
Its not an emissive material and it happens around black materials as well, its just materials imported from blender.
I found the issue, in blender my decimate was too small and it created loads of tiny holes in the mesh.
