I am currently working in UE5.0.3 and used the VR template as a start. I created a new level and started modelling, however I currently have a problem with black dots on meshes and the landscape to which I cannot seem to find a solution.
The dots are also flickering while moving so it’s really annoying. Opening the mesh itself doesn’t show the artefacts.
The meshes aren’t nanite meshes and I think Lumen/raytracing is disabled in the VR template by default (it is locked in the settings so i can’t change it either).
Since you started modeling, would it be possible you may have accidentally edited a few engine meshes? If so, you may be able to correct this by clicking “Verify” next to your engine’s launch button in the launcher. It may take a while to verify.
Thank you for responding, I have verified the installation but the issue persists.
I don’t think this is the issue because it happens on multiple meshes (not all though).
It happens on the landscape, a custom modelled mesh using the UE5 modelling tools and on meshes imported directly from Bridge:
One of the other meshes I modelled doesn’t have this issue though.
Maybe it is an issue with the textures/shaders? I’ve got Virtual Textures enabled (disabling it doesn’t solve it though).
The mesh that doesn’t have this issue is a mesh using vertex painting so maybe this is why it does not have the issue.
