Hello! I apologise if this has been asked 200 times before, but I cannot find a solution to this particular issue. I am trying to find out what is causing the black shadowy blotches around certain meshes, particularly my grass.
Any input or help is greatly appreciated. This has been driving me nuts for hours now.
Try disabling “affects distance field lighting”
Another example showing the dark shadows under the base of this tree.
This is driving me insane.
Not sure if it’s the best solution, but I have discovered r.RayTracing.Geometry.Landscape 0 which has removed the dark blobs.

We have found that this cvar greatly improved the look, have not tested the performance implications of it though:
r.Lumen.HardwareRayTracing.AvoidSelfIntersections 0
