Banding while rendering with Path Tracer

I'm getting horizontal bands of noise in my Path Traced views and renders. I've tweaked many settings (Samples per pixel/ Max bounces/ Aliasing filtering), but they won't go away. Any ideas?

I found the problem. The clue was that this was happening in all my high-altitude projects where my cad models are generally near 2000m above sea level. When exporting to FBX I've then been bringing them down to 0m in Twinmotion and path tracing doesn't like that. The workaround is to redefine x,y,z = 0,0,0 prior to exporting FBX - which is unfortunate because future iterations in cad (eg. revised terrain) will no longer reference in accurately with the cad file. Anyone from Epic care to comment?

HI ,

You are correct that the issue was caused by the distance from the origin of the model when you imported it into Twinmotion. This is a common problem across various DCC programs where model accuracy and precision decrease at large distances from the origin point, including Twinmotion.

The solution you used is correct, as this is the only way to correct the inaccuracies caused by this problem.

Thanks Raghib, will keep things close to 0,0,0 in future.

Your response is much appreciated.
