Summary
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but when testing baking bent normals in baking texture in modeling tools, the source normal map input seems to be ignored and I only get mesh bent normals.

Steps to Reproduce
Take some mesh and its normal map, go to modeling > bake textures, chose bent normals, in advanced select “source normal map”.
For me it does nothing.
Expected Result
Bent normal map having details from source normal map.
Observed Result
Source normal map is ignored
