Is this the character shown off at this year’s GDC? It’s hard to tell. If so, it’s possible that the feature is coming in a future engine build or it was added locally for this demo, similar to what Infinite-Realities did a few years ago. At the moment, the only thing to handle transmission of light through a surface is the Subsurface shading model, but it’s not high enough quality for proper skin like the Subsurface Profile.
