Auto Localization not building

Summary

Since 7/22/2025, running the “Build Auto Localization” feature over exported localization data no longer works in all UEFN projects. The auto localization will get infinitely stuck on 1 localization job and never completes.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new UEFN project
  2. Add devices, assets, or Verse code messages that can be auto-localized to the project, such as Billboard devices.
  3. Configure your Project Settings to enable Localization and Auto Localization for all languages.
  4. Press Build → Export Localization at the top of the editor.
  5. Once localization data is successfully exported, go to Build → Build Auto Localization and press it.

Expected Result

Auto Localization successfully finishes running and builds the auto-translated data into the project.

Observed Result

The Auto Localization will start running, but runs infinitely with the message “Waiting for 1 localization job…” and never completes.

We’re investigating an issue in UEFN where Auto Localization is failing to complete. We have disabled Auto Localization in UEFN while we work on a fix. We will let you know when we have more information.

FORT-942067’s status has changed to ‘Ready for QA’. A member of the QA department is investigating the issue.
