After v41.00 release, Tracker Device isn’t “auto-loading” in public session even if the setting is checked. This issue is ONLY happening in public version, not in private island code nor edit session.
It’s extremely bad for maps using auto-load for their players which is now causing loss of data. For example, Impostor (4838-7147-7903) got loss of tracker’s data due to this issue.

Place a Tracker Device using Persistence with Auto-Load.
Go into a public session and progress with it
Join again
Progress isn’t loaded
Expected Result
Tracker should be loaded automatically when joining a public version.
Observed Result
Tracker isn’t loaded automatically, leading to loss of data in maps.
@Flak This is a pretty big issue for some creators that use ‘auto-loading’ with the tracker device. Think we can add this to the priority list for bug issues?
Okay so, now if I join the Private Island Code again… It’s back to 0 and they don’t progress at all (what-). I spent a few minutes on the map and “Minutes” isn’t increasing. (In both Private Island Code and Published)

Also, I try making a published island with just a couple Tracker with Auto-Load/Auto-Save (One have a Target Value, one doesn’t) and they work extremely fine.
I’m really confused on why the issue isn’t happening here, and not on the other map while it worked extremely fine until now.
It has been fixed on Impostor!! I’m now playing in Public and data has been completely recovered and no longer lost!! Hopefully other affected maps (if any) are also recovered!
Just checked, still the same issue. It’s at 0 (not loading the saved value) and also not progressing/setting value from Verse.
The trackers with persistence break for a player after entering the map in a public match. Once you do that and play the map with privacy set to private or public it stays broken. People that haven’t played public (only private) don’t have the issue and their trackers work fine.
I thought it was a public/private lobby issue but maybe that has been fixed or it wasn’t the issue at all, but nonetheless some players still have lost their progress, and also progression still doesn’t work for them, trackers with persistence per player don’t load nor save for the affected players.
Will it be fixed and will they have their previously saved progress recovered?
I got progression and saving working again for affected players (I’m one of them) by Assigning the trackers to players manually instead of only relying on the “Assign on Game Start” and “Assign when Joining in Progress” (testing in Private Versions).
So, when manually assigning, the trackers are correctly progressing, saving and loading again for affected players, BUT, the trackers start from 0 again, which means previous progression for affected players is lost.
Will lost data be recovered, data from before v41.00? Any updates?
I switched almost everything to Verse persistence for more reliability (which I should have done way earlier but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!) and if Tracker data ever gets recovered, I have it set up to add those values back to the player’s data.
I still use Tracker Devices but only without persistence, which still seems to work fine.
