Alright, i’m gonna give this a shot. The last time I tried a game jam my idea ended up being too complex to make in a short amount of time. However, this time around I think i’ve come up with a nice, simple idea. I’ve just finished writing a little design document with the details lined out, as well as basic plans of what the blueprints might look like.

Only thing is…i’ve never used Unreal 4 before. I do however have some basic experience with Unity along with the Playmaker plugin, and i’m hoping that Unreal’s blueprints are similar enough to Playmaker’s FSMs that I shouldn’t have too much of a problem getting it coded. I’m also considering simple flat-shaded meshes similar to the likes of VideoGameBread ( http://videogamebread.tumblr.com/ ).

Hi,

This countdown is bugged I think? My team mate linked to it on slack and slack posted it as 32 minutes 45 seconds left but I wouldn’t rely on slack interpreting websites, I clicked it, and it says there are 2 days and 50 hours left, and my team mate who is in London’s time zone says his has 50 hours left.

50 hours is ~2 days

The website displays everything in hours, minutes.
You have to look at the bottom one: “It is 2 days, 1 hour, 34 minutes, 54 seconds”

OH! So it’s 2 days OR 50 hours rather than two days and 50 hours… hah! Thanks. This is the price of the permanent state of being fried you enter into during these I suppose.

The timer says we have 44 hours left is that true? I thought the game jam was finished August 16th at midnight. It’s currently 12:05AM PST
