Attaching particle system to a character in game?

Hi folks,

everytime we try and attach a particle system to our character in game, the editor crashes when we compile. we’ve tried making the systems much smaller, but still, it will crash on compile if we try to attach them to any of our characters.

Is there a better way to do this? Should we attempt to do it with anim trails? We just want it to follow the character and not be that big. How would you guys go about this? would you attach snow or rain to a socket? We tried adding a component to the character blueprint and putting it as a child under the camera, and thats when it always crashes.

Any advice much appreciated.
