Asset Localization dose NOT work from v28

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create material and set base color red.

  2. Add a cube in the level, and assign material to cube.

  3. Right Click the material, and create localized asset (asset localization →
    create localized asset → select Japanese)

  4. Edit localized material (Right Click the material, asset localizaion → edit localizaed asset → Japanese) set base color green.

  5. Launch Fortnite, change language setting to Japanese.

  6. Close Fortnite.

  7. Launch session.

  8. Check the cube color.

Expected Result

The cube is green.

Observed Result

The cube is red.

Why should I close this issue if it doesn’t solve the problem? I don’t understand why.
By utilizing the asset localization feature, we hope that players around the world can play smoothly without worrying about language, so we look forward to hearing from official staff.

We are unable to reproduce this here and will likely need more information. Let me ping the team to see what we need.

I think that all Japanese creators have same issue.

We want to do asset localization like this.

In Chapter 4, we can do asset localization in that way.
It worked.

But now , it dose not work.

I tried today’s update, but still, asset localization does not seem to be working.
Please let me know if you have any further information on this.

This was fixed today in 30.0 patch notes.
