Artifacts with DFAO and skylight movable with cast shadow enabled.

Hi, I’ve a scene with one skylight movable, cast shadows enabled. The DFAO is enabled and my Illumination Method is ‘None’. the Distance Field AO generates a lot of noise, but if I change my configuration to Lumen, this noise disappears.

Scenes using DFAO need to be designed and constructed around it, but some artifacts are unavoidable. Also it’s better for mostly exterior environments with a directional light. You can use the distance field debug views to try to construct the scene better and see what’s going on under the hood. Some meshes might need more distance field resolution.
