I recently got my hands on an iPad 5th gen, which is fairly capable of playing ARKit apps.
But when I launch the AR template project, it takes from 3 to 5 minutes to switch from the Splash screen to the
“Start AR” screen.
I tried the same project with a Samsung S8+ and it takes almost no time to load.
Any suggestions?
Reply: ok, so apparently the iPad is trying to stream assets from the remote location where I built the project. I am building from PC to IOS.
When I try to load my project using “Airplane mode”, it prompts me an error where it cant find the required server, then skips the splash screen and loads instantly. How ever, when I try to place a model on the scene, it crashes.
Any idea on how to stop the ipad from “streaming” or loading the assets from the remote server?
