Additional Notes

This is going on ever since introduction of the LUF coordinate system.
Just wondering if a fix is still in the planning. Personally I would assume that a properly working coordinate system is of high importance to any 3D application. Even more surprised that not a lot of users are reporting this bug.

Thanks @Jimbohalo10 , that’s good to know. Life is so much easier for an environment artist with local transforms.

Hi Dormikon, I just updated to 36.20 and tried to reproduce this, but I think it is fixed! Are you also seeing that this is resolved?

Hi @Astrotronic ,

No, it is still not working for me. Could it be something on my end after all?
I did try a blank, default project with default cubes to rule that out though.

Maybe the fact that local transforms are working within the ISM editor can give you a clue?

I just checked again, and I found something strange -

I placed a default cube and rotated it in the red/left/negative y axis. - Then testing this bug by holding SHIFT while moving an axis so the camera comes along for the ride, I don’t see any problems (I must have just only checked this axis previously), BUT - if any other axis is rotated, I still see the bug.

I’m not sure what you mean by ISM editor? (Instanced Static Mesh Editor? - You’re talking about moving around objects inside of a Blueprint?)

Hi @Astrotronic,

Yes, exactly. Moving ISM’s in a blueprint with the ISM Editor in modeling mode along their gizmo axes works just fine in local transform mode.

Yes, sorry, the Instanced Static Mesh Editor.
