Are Some Fortnite Creative Maps Shadowbanned by the Discovery Algorithm? Months of Updates With Zero Visibility

Hello,
I’m creating this post because I’ve been facing something very frustrating with my Fortnite Creative maps for several months.
During this time, I have made major improvements and updates to almost all of my maps. These were not small changes: they included large gameplay updates, optimizations, new features, and significant improvements.
However, despite all of this work, I have received absolutely no boost in visibility from the Discovery system.
My maps do not appear to be promoted, tested, or pushed in any meaningful way. Because of this, I’m starting to seriously wonder if my maps are somehow “shadowbanned” by the algorithm.
What makes this even more discouraging is that it seems like some creators are forced to create many new maps just to get visibility, while creators who keep improving their existing maps receive nothing in return.
Meanwhile, I continue to release major updates again and again, but nothing changes.
This situation raises several questions:
Is the Discovery algorithm ignoring maps that are frequently updated?
Is there some hidden limitation affecting certain creators?
Are some maps simply never tested or promoted?
From a creator’s perspective, this is extremely discouraging. It feels like months of work can go completely unseen.
So my main question is:
Is this happening only to me, or are other creators experiencing the same thing?
Expected Result
After releasing major updates and improvements to my maps over several months (gameplay changes, optimizations, new content, and fixes), I expected the Discovery system to:
Re-evaluate the maps after updates
Potentially test them again in the Discovery algorithm
Provide at least some level of visibility or traffic increase after significant updates
Allow improved maps to reach new players
In short, consistent development and large updates should increase the chances of visibility in the Discovery system.
Observed Result
Despite releasing multiple major updates over several months, the result has been:
No noticeable increase in visibility
No Discovery boost or testing phase
No increase in player traffic
Maps appear to receive little to no exposure in Discovery
This creates the impression that the maps may be ignored or deprioritized by the Discovery algorithm, even after significant improvements.
Because of this, it feels like continuous development of existing maps is not rewarded, while creating new maps may be the only way to regain visibility.
Platform(s)
This issue appears to be related to the Discovery algorithm rather than a specific platform.
Therefore it potentially affects all platforms where Fortnite is available, including:
PC
PlayStation (PS4 / PS5)
Xbox (Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S)
Nintendo Switch
Mobile / Cloud platforms
Since the visibility problem occurs in the Discovery system of Unreal Editor for Fortnite maps, it impacts all players regardless of the platform they use to access the map.
