AR build works correctly when launched from UE, but stand alone doesn't

Specifically my issue is with an AR android build in 4.23 and using AR image tracking. When I package and launch the app from UE onto my device, the pawn blueprint changes I have made work correctly. World origin locks to the tracked image and the scene does as well.

Once I close that, disconnect my phone from UE and fire up the same app on the phone as a standalone, the world origin will spawn randomly and neither it or the scene will lock onto the tracked image.

Is there something going on in the settings that I am missing that can change what goes on between launching from UE vs stand alone?
