can you share the image how does the error look? What happened, when you used direct installation file? As I wrote, it seems to be a Windows error.
What kind of machine are you using? Have you tried delete/uninstall everything and then install again?
The computer is an assembled workstation, and I have tried several times uninstall then install.
I successfully installed a trial version before, maybe because of the improper uninstall of that version, when using the direct installation file, it needs to find the previous installation package “RealityCapture-1.2.0.16813-Tarasque.msi”

Do you have still that trial version installation file? when using the direct installation file, it needs to find the previous installation package “RealityCapture-1.2.0.16813-Tarasque.msi” Is there a direct question to do so?
If so, I will send you that file for proper uninstall.
OK then, I sent you the invitation to the Box from where you will be able to download that version. It can be also in your spam folder.
I hope it will work, as it is a pretty old version.
